Hi -- this is my first post.

Hi welcome to Sandy Moses Upholstery.

I have been in the furniture business all my life it seems. In 1964, when I was 17, I started in a small furniture manufacturer called Farquharson Gifford. At 23 yrs old I became upholstery department supervisor. And at 25 the acting manager of the whole plant.

I then started my own upholstery business. 2 yrs later we opened a furniture store with a recovery shop and wood refinishing department.

We also started to sell contract furniture to restaurants, nursing homes, hospitals, etc. In 1989 we sold it all and moved my business back to my shop at our home. I love working on older pieces and restoring them to their original beautiful state.

I also have a line of furniture that I used to sell. It is mostly contract type with all sorts of chairs, tables, etc. It is very exciting to be selling again. On that note----I have been working on the weekends for Artisan Interiors in Stratford. It is a very high end store that uses several local manufactures who handcraft beautifull solid wood furniture.

We also have leather upholstered sofa and chairs made with Italian leather.
